Thanks for the e-mails of encouragement from other Interceptor Owners.
How it happened.
I was annoyed at not finding much at all about the Interceptor on the net. As much as I'm proud to the Royal continue in India, the Bullit was hardly the pinnacle of the Royal Enfield Motorcycle production. Yet, everyone think Royal Enfield was simply a 10-15 Horsepower 50's, 250-500cc Motorcycle that the Indians kept going as a commuter bike and that that's it!.
They didn't know about the 1965-70 750cc , 55 Hp Interceptor!
So I put up a temporary single page in August 2001 and put in a link with one of the Royals sites. Immediately the e-mails started coming in support. Encouraged, I promised to put a proper web site up by the end of September.
There was a lot of work on the graphic side of things and to get the workshop manual up. Kickan translated the Road Test from Swedish, she's a top translator too. My oldest son Curt who is a self taught expert on many Web topics and tools did all the scanning in and graphic work, many more items than I selected for the web site.
With enough support, this may build into an owners group with Rallies in some countries coordinated through this site, by connecting Interceptor Owners.
Kickan will also be taking over the week to week running of the site.
Thanks "Royal"
